Music, Monsters, & Muscles:

“These are a few of my favorite things..”

There are three things in my life that I have consistently loved: music, monsters, and muscles (wrestling). From early childhood my house growing up was always filled with music. We would all sing together: Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Elvis, etc…So my love of music was embedded in me. When heavy metal came along I was hooked. I spent many a night up into the wee hours watching Headbanger’s Ball and Rikki Rachtman! 1989 I started meeting bands, writing to them, being part of their street teams (helping promote them). I met way too many bands to name and went to see so many concerts for free, along with getting back stage. I did that for a good 10 years of my life. During this time I also starting taking photographs and co-editing a little local music newsletter with my friend Lori. My dream was to be a music photographer or write a magazine like Metal Edge.

 I always loved horror even as a child.. I remember my first crush being on Eddie Munster of all people. Then I fell in love with Dracula and Bela Lugosi and the rest is history as they say.. From there I went on to discover the talents of Tom Savini and I’ve been a fan of special effects ever since.. I remember staying up late into the morning watching horror movies with my grandfather. I asked him if he liked them and he always said “no” but he would be there watching them with me until 3 a.m. sometimes anyway!

When I was 14 I fell in love with wrestling. My grandfather and my grandmother would both watch wrestling with me. In the beginning I was not interested and then I saw Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka and I was hooked! Then came the Undertaker…Double crush! So this webzine has been created from all the I love and as a dream continuation of something I’ve always aspired to do but never did! Hope you enjoy it as much as I have creating it!
